General Business Approach:

With us you can be art. We offer you our creative photography services to produce a piece of art that you can be a part of. Although we do offer printing services, the focus of our photography is to use our creativity to produce artistic senior portraits, not to sell prints. Our photography packages demonstrate this focus, as they do not include prints but do include digital negatives that you the customer can have printed where ever and when ever you see fit. We feel that our time and your money is better spent on photographic creativity than producing prints.

What to Bring:

Wear the clothes you like. Confidence makes a photograph look better than anything else, so wear what makes you feel confident. Your confidence will show more than your clothes.

Bring a bag of clothes with plenty of options for looks. We will look through all your clothes when you arrive and get an idea of what looks to use for your portraits. You know better than anyone which clothes make you look the good, we will simply recommend colors or combinations of clothes for certain shots.

Try to avoid clothing with wording, large brand names, or distracting prints and patterns on them. Solid colors usually work the best for photography. Bright red and black are two great colors to bring with you. Leather, denim, shiny fabric, textured fabric, and fitted fabric are good to. Bring a few jackets, they allow for a quick clothing change anywhere. Bring accessories like earrings, hats, sports equipment, or anything that means something to you.

Optional:

Bring some example shots with you. Look through magazines or online and find shots you like and bring them to your session and we'll try to shoot something similar. When looking at your favorite shots pay close attention to the posing and facial expressions. Also, Look through photos of yourself and figure out what you like and what you don't like about them. If you have time, get in front of a mirror and practice some of your favorite expressions and poses.

Girls:

In general makeup for senior portraits should be heavier than normal but not caked on. We like to focus our photography on the eyes so take your time and do your eye make-up the best you can. Don't wear colored contact lenses, we can color your eyes during post processing but we need realistic eye texture to work with. Bring your make-up with you for touch ups and changes, and bring something high gloss for your lips to give them a moist healthy look. Your Nails and hands will be in many of the shots so think about a neutral nail color. Clear nails work great, and if you don’t like to paint we have a nail buffer that we can use to make them shine and look great.
